EE and A1 Comms have teamed up for the launch of 5G mobile phones and plans, as EE ushers in a new era of mobile network technology in the UK.

From today, A1 Comms is offering EE 5G propositions online at Affordable Mobiles, Buymobiles.net and Phones.co.uk, and in its high-street Go Mobile stores from Friday.

The introduction of EE’s 5G technology will enable an enhanced experience for mobile phone users, with a more reliable data connection even in busy areas, as well as faster data speeds and a near-instant connection.

Adam Chadwick, Commercial Director at A1 Comms, said, “It’s an honour to be in partnership with EE for their 5G launch, which we know will deliver an even better mobile experience to customers.

“We’re really excited about all the benefits that 5G technology is going to bring, which we’re making available through our online presence and nationwide retail estate.”

EE launched its 5G network at the end of May 2019 in six major UK cities: Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, London and Manchester.

They plan to introduce 5G into 10 more cities in 2019, including: Bristol, Coventry, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Nottingham and Sheffield.

A further 10 locations have been announced for 2020, also: Aberdeen, Cambridge, Derby, Gloucester, Peterborough, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Southampton, Worcester and Wolverhampton.

Customers can today choose from an initial range of four 5G mobile phones at www.affordablemobiles.co.uk and www.buymobiles.net, including flagship devices from Samsung, LG, OnePlus and Oppo.

The 5G mobile phones are available on EE’s new Smart plans, which give customers access to the UK’s first 5G network, as well as new Swappable Benefits that include BT Sport HD HDR and a selection of data passes.
